Belleview Christmas Parade Cancelled
Updated Wednesday, December 2, 2020

The City of Belleview has voted to cancel this year's Christmas Parade and holiday events.  Per their announcement, several factors were taken into consideration, including the increased COVID-19 cases and positivity rate, the safety of City employees, lack of the assistance from other law enforcement agencies due to recent outbreaks of COVID, as well as the lack of participation from schools and organizations.  The City Commission agreed that hosting these holiday events is not the safest nor most prudent way to proceed during such an unprecedented year.

We wanted to let everyone know as the Belleview Soccer Club was slated to participate in the parade, and if you were planning to participate with us, you could adjust your calendars accordingly.

Some Changes and Reminders
Updated Friday, November 6, 2020

Starting with the scrimmage tonight, we will be returning the benches to the team areas of the field. With the return of the benches come the return of some rules.

  1. All spectators (parents, family, friends) MUST be seated across the field from the player areas. The only people allowed in the player areas are the coaches, league staff, and of course, the players. The reason for this is that our sanctioning body (the organization that makes our rules), which is the Florida Youth Soccer Association, requires anyone in the player area to have a background check on file. All coaches and league staff members have this background check done as part of the onboarding process to the league. The player areas will be marked with signs to make them visible.
  2. Offensive language and unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated. This includes both players and spectators. We have no problem with parents yelling encouragement to their kids, or even voicing disappointment in some cases. However, we will not tolerate foul and/or abusive language, especially that which is directed at the players, coaches, referees, and staff members. Anyone engaging in this behavior will receive a warning. But if it is repeated or severe, the offenders may be asked to leave the property, either for the rest of the game or practice, or permanently. The referees, when present, will be given the leeway to eject both players and spectators from the game if there is any verbal abuse. The last thing we want to do is keep anyone from participating, but we want everyone to have the most fun possible and teach good sportsmanship, abilities and talents to the fullest. We ask that everyone: players, coaches, parents, family members and our league staff follow that mission as well.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Mission Statement:

Our objective at the Belleview Soccer Club is to teach new players the fundamentals of the game of soccer while improving the skills of the more advanced players. Our #1 goal is not winning or losing, but to have the most fun possible and teach good sportsmanship, abilities and talents to the fullest.

All of the people involved in putting the soccer club together each season are volunteers. We are a not-for-profit club that relies heavily on people stepping up and helping out. Come be a part of our team and watch the children develop. If you are interested in helping out for a few hours a week please email us at

Season and games:

We have two seasons: Spring and Fall. All rec league games are played on Friday nights except for an occasional Saturday morning game, all adult league games are played on Saturday nights, and all games for both leagues are played at the Belleview Sports Complex. Games usually begin around 6pm on Fridays and 9am on Saturday for the rec league, and 6pm on Saturdays for the adult league. Rec league practices are normally twice a week either on Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday, depending on the team's schedule.

All of our coaches are committed to developing the skills of each player. Each coach volunteers approximately 6-8 hours a week for practices and games. If you are interested in becoming a coach and making a difference, please contact us at

At the Belleview Soccer Club we are committed to good sportsmanship. Each player and parent are required to sign a code of ethics form and a background check is required for all volunteers.
